Heute hatten wir nicht ganz so leichte Kost auf dem Programm. Aber auch das geh\u00f6rt zu Albany und der Geschichte der Stadt dazu.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Aber erstmal zum Torndirrup Nationalpark. Hier gibt es The Gap<\/span><\/strong><\/a> und The Bridge<\/span><\/strong><\/a>. Zwei Naturspektakel die die Wellen in Jahrhunderten geschaffen haben.<\/span>

Beides wirklich sehr empfehlenswert und die Naturgewalt ist noch viel Gr\u00f6\u00dfer als man sie mit Bildern oder Videos einfangen kann.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Danach f\u00fchrte uns unser Weg zum Walmuseum.<\/span> <\/strong><\/a>H\u00f6rt sich ja erstmal toll an ein Museum f\u00fcr Wale. Aber die Geschichte beginnt traurig und sehr gr\u00e4sslich. Mit dem Walfang. Dieser wurde hier von 1952 bis 1978 betrieben.\u00a0 Auf gr\u00e4ssliche Art und Weise wurden die Wale gejagt zur Anlage geschleppt und dort ausgenommen. Die Bilder ersparen wir euch. Aber es ist wichtig das hieran erinnert wird und man diese schrecklichen Taten nicht vergisst.

Fast 16.000 Wale sind in den 26 Jahren hier get\u00f6tet und verarbeitet worden.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

An das Walfangmuseum angegliedert ist ein kleiner Botanischer Garten und ein kleiner Tierpark.

Da der Sommer sehr hei\u00df und trocken war gibt es nicht ganz so viele Pflanzen. Aber ein paar Bilder haben wir f\u00fcr euch.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
